The Synchronized Swimming team travelled to Fort Collins, Colo. a few weeks ago to face some of their toughest competition of the season at the 2019 North Regional Championship. This marks the last chance to compete before the team will travel to Texas for the Collegiate Championship in just ten days. Carleton College, Colorado State University, Hamline University, Lindenwood University, University of Michigan, and University of Minnesota were the teams in attendance that proved a good test for the Buckeyes in preparing to defend their national championship in a little over a week.
The full results are in, and the race for first was a close one. The top two institutions of the weekend, Lindenwood University and Ohio State, were in close competition in every category. There wasn’t a single division that was won by a larger margin than .8 of a point. Ohio State brought home the gold in the team category, continuing the streak and remaining undefeated for the season.
The Buckeyes are looking ahead to nationals in ten days, where the top programs from around the nation will meet. Ohio State will continue to train and prepare to try to defend its title and add a 32nd National Championship to the program’s resume.
