COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 7 ranked Ohio State Rifle Team will look to earn one of eight coveted spots at the upcoming NCAA Rifle Championships when it hosts Akron this Saturday in an NCAA qualifier. The match will begin at 11 a.m. at the Hugh W. Wylie Range inside of Converse Hall.
This weekend’s NCAA Qualifier scores shot at 11 locations around the country will be added to each team’s current NCAA three-score average. The teams with the top-8 point totals will earn berths to the NCAA Championships which are being held at the University of Akron, March 11-12. Ohio State heads into the weekend with a 4682.33 average which is the 7th highest in the country. Akron comes in with the 16th best average of 4626.33.
