COLUMBUS, Ohio The No. 3 Ohio State men’s tennis finished out its second home doubleheader of the season, winning, 7-0, against Wright State Sunday at The Ohio State University Varsity Indoor Tennis Center. The Buckeyes improve their home win streak to 97 matches, which dates back to the 2003 season.

Ohio State (10-1; 0-0 Big Ten) has now won 94-consecutive regular season (non-tournament) matches dating back to the 2006 season. The Buckeyes improve to 6-0 all-time against the Raiders. The Scarlet and Gray are now 20-0 all-time vs. teams from the Horizon League Conference under 11th-year head coach Ty Tucker.

Senior co-captain Justin Kronauge claimed the match for Ohio State at No. 2 singles, winning 6-1, 6-0 over Tore Waldhausen. Kronauge is now two wins shy of tying former Buckeye Roger Smith (1983-1986) for fourth on the all-time career singles wins list with 126 victories.

In doubles, the Buckeyes won the first point after claiming victories at Nos. 3 and 2, respectively. Sophomores Devin McCarthy and Steven Williams swept Nick Camilleri and Mihkel Kruusmagi, 8-0, at No. 3 for their first doubles win of the season when paired. At No. 2, Kronauge and Chase Buchanan competed for the first time together at the second position in the lineup. The Buckeye duo improved to 9-7 overall after defeating Waldhausen and Brian Dredge, 8-2.

On court No. 1, junior Balazs Novak and freshman Dino Marcan won, 8-6, over Evan and Landon Neuman. The Buckeye duo has a team-high 11 victories this season.

In singles, Novak downed Dredge in straight sets 6-1, 6-0 at No. 4 to finish first for the Buckeyes. He leads the team in singles wins with 16 victories. McCarthy, a native of Cincinnati, Ohio, improved to 8-2 overall after topping Kruusmagi 6-1, 6-0 at No. 5. He is now 3-0 in dual play.

Williams followed his classmate with his own straight-set victory over Evan Neuman at No. 6. He won 6-2, 6-2, and now has a 3-0 record in dual play with each victory coming from court No. 6.

Uzawa, a native of Chiba, Japan, won 7-5, 6-3 over Landon Neuman at No. 3, while Marcan won his second match at the top of the singles lineup after downing Camilleri 6-4, 7-6 (7-1) in a second-set tiebreaker.
