COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s gymnastics team hosts Penn State in a co-ed meet at 4 p.m. Saturday in St. John Arena. The Ohio State men’s gymnastics team also takes on the Nittany Lions.

The Buckeyes earned a season-high 196.350 in a tri-meet win at Rutgers with Yale Saturday afternoon at the Rutgers Athletic Center.

Kaitlyn Hofland posted career highs on vault, bars and beam in the Buckeyes’ tri-meet win. The freshman tied for third on vault with a 9.800, tied for first on bars at 9.875 and won balance beam with a 9.925. In addition, Taylor Harrison won the all-around title with a 39.175.

A LOOK AT 2016
The Buckeyes return 10 letterwinners off the 2015 NCAA Regional squad and welcome five newcomers to go along with redshirt freshman Kaitlyn Hofland, who missed all of last season with an injury.

Ohio State sits at No. 23 in the Road to Nationals rankings this week. No. 3 Michigan leads the conference, followed by No. 14 Nebraska, No. 18 Minnesota and No. 20 Illinois.

The Buckeyes also square off with No. 10 Boise State Feb. 19 in Boise.

As a team, Ohio State ranks 20th nationally on vault and 23rd on uneven bars.

Ohio State was selected fifth in the Big Ten Preseason Coaches’ Poll, the conference office announced Dec. 10. In addition, sophomore Taylor Harrison and redshirt freshman Kaitlyn Hofland were named gymnasts to watch in the conference.

The Buckeyes were picked behind Michigan, Nebraska, Illinois and Penn State.

Season tickets, on sale now, include a ticket to each of the four home meets and are just $26 for adults and $16 for youth. Single-meet tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for youth.
