MORGANTOWN, W. Va. – The No. 22 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team wrapped up the regular season with a quad meet against West Virginia, No. 24 Penn State and NC State on Sunday afternoon, posting a score of 194.925.
Starting on the beam, sophomore Danica Abanto tied her career-high with a score of 9.850 to lead the team. Sophomore Morgan Lowe led off the rotation with a 9.825, and senior Jamie Stone added a 9.800. The team scored a 48.950 overall. Abanto led the team again on the floor, posting a score of 9.850 and tying for fourth. Junior Peyton Hinterberger scored a 9.800, and the squad totaled 48.650.
On vault, freshman Sydney Jennings led the Buckeyes for the third straight week, earning a 9.850 and tying for third. Junior Olivia Aepli followed with a 9.825, and the team finished with a 48.900. Closing out the meet on bars, freshman Claire Gagliardi anchored the lineup with a 9.850. She has scored 9.800 or higher in five straight meets. Aepli and sophomore Jenna Swartzentruber both added 9.800s.
