COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State women’s basketball team hosts its fourth-consecutive game to open the 2021-22 season on Tuesday inside Value City Arena at the Schottenstein Center at 7 p.m. as the Buckeyes face Bellarmine. The game will be broadcast live on B1G+ and AM 1460.

  • The Buckeyes were picked fifth in the Big Ten preseason poll on both the coach and media rankings.
  • Ohio State’s offense thrived in a 94-63 win against Bowling Green on Wednesday, shooting a season-best 56.7 percent from the floor during the game and 67.8 percent during the first half.
  • Taylor Mikesell and Rebeka Mikulášiková led the Buckeyes’ scoring with 19 points apiece while Jacy Sheldon (17) and Kateri Poole (11) each reached double figures.

  • The Knights opened the season with a 72-59 loss at Cincinnati on Nov. 12. Bellarmine then lost at No. 10 Louisville on Nov. 16 by an 82-25 margin.

  • Last season, the Knights went 5-17 overall and 5-11 in conference play. Bellarmine fell in the first round of the conference tournament by an 88-59 mark to Liberty.
