COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 2 Ohio State men’s tennis team’s regular-season schedule will come to a close this weekend when it hosts No. 23 Indiana and No. 67 Purdue. The Buckeyes and Hoosiers will hit the courts at 4 p.m. Friday, while the Scarlet and Gray (25-2; 8-0 Big Ten) will welcome the Boilermakers for a noon match Sunday.

The weekend will be full of fun activities and recognitions. Friday vs. Indiana, fans are encouraged to dress like their favorite men’s tennis college head coach – Ty Tucker – for “Dress Like Coach Tucker Day.” Video   

Two days later vs. Purdue, Buckeye seniors Matt Allare, Balazs Novak and Shuhei Uzawa will be honored in a Senior Day ceremony.

There is rain in the forecast this weekend. However a decision on where the Buckeyes, Hoosiers and Boilermakers will play this weekend will not be decided until match day. Check back to for updated information on where Ohio State will play this weekend.

The second-ranked team in the nation, Ohio State boasts a 57-4 record all-time as the No. 2 team in the country. In 2011, the Buckeyes have defeated Notre Dame, Wisconsin and Minnesota as the No. 2 squad.

  • With the win at Minnesota April 17, Ohio State’s Big Ten win streak improves to 74. The Buckeyes have been victorious in 126 of their last 131 league matches, including postseason action.
  • Wrapping up their regular-season road schedule with a 9-1 record (non-tournament), the Scarlet and Gray have come away with wins in 56 of their last 57 road matches.
  • With the win over the Gophers, the five-time defending Big Ten champions improved to 11-2 on the year against Top 25 competition. Since 1999, the mark stands at 76-40 vs. Top 25 opponents and moves to an impressive 70-11 since the 2005-06 season.
