No. 18 Ohio State Looks to Build on Strong Start in Saturday Dual vs. No. 22 Iowa

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 18 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team hosts Iowa in a dual meet at 4 p.m. Saturday at St. John Arena.

A LOOK AT 2017
The Buckeyes return 10 letterwinners off the 2016 NCAA Regional squad and welcome a cast of four newcomers. Included in the 10 returning letterwinners are Kaitlyn Hofland, Alexis Mattern and Jamie Stone, a trio of second team All-Big Ten selections from a season ago.

With a 195.800 team score, the Buckeyes topped No. 11 Michigan, Washington and Kent State in a quad meet Saturday afternoon at St. John Arena. The win over the Wolverines was the first since 2012. Alexis Mattern posted a career-best 9.900 to win the vault title while Kaitlyn Hofland paced the Buckeyes on uneven bars with a 9.850 for a second-place finish.

Ohio State checks in at No. 18 in the latest Road to Nationals rankings. Other Big Ten teams in the rankings include No. 10 Nebraska, No. 12 Michigan, No. 19(t) Illinois, No. 21 Minnesota and No. 22 Iowa.

The Buckeyes currently rank tied for 14th nationally on vault, tied for 16th on balance beam and tied for 22nd on uneven bars.

Individually, Alexis Mattern is tied for 20th nationally on vault.

Season tickets, on sale now, include a ticket to each of the five home meets and are just $32 for adults and $20 for youth. Single-meet tickets also are on sale now at $8 for adults and $5 for youth.
