NORMAN, Okla. – The No. 13 Ohio State women’s gymnastics team scored a season-high 196.100 to finish second in a quad meet with No. 4 Oklahoma, No. 17 Illinois and Texas Women’s University Friday evening in Norman, Okla. The Sooners won the meet with a 197.050 with Illinois finishing third at 195.400 and Texas Women’s fourth with a 193.425.

The Buckeyes opened on bars, tallying a season-high 48.050 event score. Taylor Jones and Nicole Krauter each scored career-best scores of 9.900 and 9.825, respectively. The 9.900 for Jones, a native of Edmond, Okla., was the highest for a Buckeye on bars this season and tied for third at the meet.

Ohio State then moved to balance beam, scoring a 48.875 to finish second in the event. Sarah Miller led the Buckeyes with a 9.850 to tie for third while Rebecca Best and Colleen Dean each tallied a 9.775.

The Buckeyes then moved to floor for the third rotation, posting a 49.000 for a second place finish. Melanie Shaffer tied for second at the meet and led the Scarlet and Gray, tying her career high with a 9.875, while Dean and Miller each posted a 9.825.

The Scarlet and Gray wrapped up the meet on vault, scoring a 49.175 to tie with Oklahoma for first on the event. Miller set a career high with a 9.900 to place second and lead the Buckeyes while Shaffer posted a 9.875.

Dean finished second in the all-around at 39.175
