The Ohio State womens gymnastics team placed five of six teams with a score of 193.050 at the NCAA Regional Championship at Morgantown, W.Va. Lindsey Vagedes (So., Warrenville, Ill.) took a first place victory on the vault with a score of 9.950 and will advance to the NCAA Championships. Susan Eckman (Sr., Boardman, Ohio) tied for sixth place on the vault (9.850), while two Buckeyes clinched top 20 victories on the vault. Eckman placed second on the uneven parallel bars with a score of 9.850. Stephanie Buerkel (Fr., West Chester, Pa.) placed 12th on the bars (9.750) as well as 12th on the balance beam (9.775). Vagedes finished the evening with a sixth place tie on the floor exercise (9.875) and a fifth place finish in the all-around (38.975). The Alabama Crimson Tide won the Region VI Championship and will advance as a team to the Championship round Apr. 15-17at Salt Lake City, Utah.
