March 4, 2018

COLUMBUS, Ohio — The No. 11-ranked Ohio State women’s tennis team suffered a 4-0 loss at No. 18 Texas Sunday in Austin. The Buckeyes are now 5-3 on the year, while Texas improves to 8-4.

The Buckeyes return home to host Nebraska in a Big Ten match at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Varsity Tennis Center. Admission is free.

“Today was tough,” Melissa Schaub, Ohio State head coach, said. “Texas is a good team and competed really well. I am optimistic about today’s match. We are young but we showed some fight and toughness today. Friday against Baylor was rough, but it was good to see us come back and get better today. It will be nice to come home and get ready for another Big Ten match with Nebraska on Wednesday.”
