COLUMBUS, Ohio – Following a full day of racing vs. No. 1 Princeton and No. 11 Yale in Derby, Conn., Saturday, the 10th-ranked Ohio State rowing team returned to action Sunday at the Charles River Challenge in Boston, Mass. The Buckeye Second Varsity Eight and First and Second Varsity Fours posted wins in the regatta hosted by Boston University. 
In early-morning racing, the 2V4 (coxswain Kristin DiJosie, Ashley Dzurnak, Lindsey Titus, Sarah Cornish and Katherine Tylinski) pulled away with a convincing victory against Boston University, Syracuse and No. 10 Louisville. The Buckeye Second Varsity Four won by 33 seconds as the second-place Terriers clocked in at 9:27.
Later in the day, the 1V4 crew of Jill Mohr, Emily Ralph, Stephanie Johnson and Kara Shropshire, led by coxswain MacKenzie Pecor, posted a 10.8-second win, crossing the line in 8:44.5, while Dartmouth finished in 8:55.3. 
The 2V8 came away with a 4.9-second win, overcoming Harvard. The team of Tess Prescott, Ingrid Aasaaren, Samantha Fowle, Mandy Merritt, Kate Sweeney, Anniken Ellingsen, Caroline McPherson and coxswain Samantha Getz sounded the horn in 7:33.7, ahead of the Crimson’s 7:38.6.
A second-place outing was posted by the 1V8 as just 2.4 seconds separated the Buckeye crew of Ellen Heister, Allison Elber, Claire-Louise Bode, Ulrike Denker, Claudia Herpertz, Carolin Helmholz, Claudia Schiwy, Emily Walsh and coxswain Erika Benford from the win. Ohio State finished in 7:11.5 behind Harvard’s 7:09.1.
Ohio State was slated to compete in the Third Varsity Eight race, but the Buckeyes lost their rudders at the starting line and therefore were unable to compete.
