COLUMBUS, Ohio – The 10th-ranked Ohio State men’s swimming and diving team finished out its two-day, double dual showdown Saturday at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion by downing Denison, 249-96, and Princeton, 209-136.
Fleagle added to his impressive start on day one by notching a victory in the 100 freestyle (44.21). McHugh and Ching Lim took the top-two spots in the 100 butterfly with times of 49.20 and 49.38, respectively. Zimmerman also claimed first in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:46.33.
In diving, Stephen Romanik continued an impressive start to the season with first-place finish in the 1-meter diving competition. He posted a score of 357.80 for the win.
Ohio State competed in a non-scoring format for the remainder of the meet. However, the Buckeyes still recorded top times in the 500 freestyle, 200 breaststroke and 400 freestyle relay. Freshman Brayden Seal touched in a time of 4:29.32 in the 500 freestyle, while MacDonald earned a mark of 2:00.67 in the 200 breaststroke.
The Buckeyes will have a short, well-deserved break from competition before hosting the always competitive Ohio State Invitational, Nov. 21-23.
