COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nineteen members of the Ohio State baseball team earned OSU Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2019-20 academic year, the Ohio State Department of Athletics announced Wednesday. The group was part of 647 Ohio State student-athletes recognized with the honor.
To receive the distinction, student-athletes must carry a 3.0 or better grade-point average.
Matt Carpenter and Scottie Seymour each were selected for the fourth time while Aaron Hughes earned his third honor and Garrett Burhenn, Nolan Clegg, Marcus Ernst, Mitch Milheim, Will Pfennig and Griffan Smith were honored for the second time. Joey Aden, Zach Dezenzo, Avery Fisher, Caden Kaiser, Nate Karaffa, Tyler Kean, Casey Maniglia, Patrick Murphy, Mitchell Okuley and Yianni Skeriotis each were selected for the first time.
