BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Ohio State sophomore Heath Nickles took first place in the decathlon Friday evening at Indiana University’s Polytan Invitational.

Nickles used four first-place finishes to take home the win with a personal best score of 7140, a top 30 performance nationally. Freshman Cory Kunze, competing unattached, finished fourth with 5929 points, despite his failure to score in the pole vault.
