COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 8/8 Ohio State women's basketball team (20-1, 9-1 B1G) travels to No. 1/1 UCLA (21-0, 9-0 B1G) on Wednesday night for a 9:30 p.m. ET tip. The game will be broadcast on Peacock and AM1460.
- Ohio State earned a 66-56 win against Washington on Sunday to improve to 20-1 and clinch a spot in the Big Ten Tournament. This is the Buckeyes' fourth-consecutive season with 20 or more wins.
- Cotie McMahon led the game with 19 points, while Jaloni Cambridge (13) and Chance Gray (11) also scored in double figures. Elsa Lemmilä led OSU with seven boards and added a career-high three steals.
- McMahon and Cambridge were among 50 players nationally to be named to USBWA's Ann Meyers Drysdale Player of the Year midseason watch list on Monday.
- No. 1 UCLA enters the game with a perfect 21-0 record and is 9-0 in conference games. UCLA is the last unbeaten team in Division I.
- Lauren Betts leads the Bruins in scoring (20.2 ppg) and rebounding (9.7 rpg). Kiki Rice (13.2 ppg) and Gabriela Jaquez (10.2 ppg) are also averaging double figures.
- The Bruins rebounding margin is +15.8 and they out-block their opponents on more than a 2:1 ratio.
- Ohio State leads 5-4 in the all-time series against UCLA but trails 3-2 when facing the Bruins in Los Angeles.
- The most recent meeting between the two teams in Los Angeles was also the Buckeyes' most recent win of the series - an 83-60 decision on Dec. 21, 2004.
- The teams met last season in Columbus as UCLA won by a 77-71 margin on Dec. 18, 2023. OSU started quickly but found the game tied 17-17 after one quarter of play. UCLA led by as many as 22 points in the fourth quarter. The Buckeyes staged a comeback, outscoring the Bruins 26-14 in the final quarter, but fell just short.
