The national No. 1 seed men’s soccer team came from behind and defeated Western Michigan, 2-1, in the second round of the NCAA tournament yesterday. The team will now host Stanford at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 1, at Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium



The 3-seed women’s soccer team defeated Auburn to advance to the NCAA tournament Round of 16 for the fifth time where its season ended Sunday with a 1-0 loss at Wake Forest. The team finished 14-6-3 overall.



The No. 2 football team defeated Indiana, 38-15, to improve to 10-1 and 7-1 in the Big Ten.



The No. 2 women’s hockey team split a series at Minnesota State and are 13-4-2 and 8-4-2 in the WCHA with one more game remaining before a holiday break.

Women’s cross country runners Aniya Mosley and Daniella Santos competed at the 2024 NCAA Championships Saturday and placed 80th and 105th, respectively.



Three members of the men’s tennis team and one from the women’s team competed at the first fall NCAA Singles & Doubles Championship and all four – Luciana Perry, Aidan Kim, Will Jansen and Bryce Nakashima –earned All-America honors.

The No. 12 women’s basketball team defeated Ohio and Bowling Green by rather large margins to improve to 5-0 on the season.



The men’s basketball team defeated Evansville and Campbell by rather large margins, too, to improve to 4-1 this season.



The No. 15 women’s swimming and diving team placed second out of 10 teams and the No. 10 men’s team placed third out of eight teams at their own Ohio State Fall Invitational.



The women’s volleyball team (14-14, 7-11 B1G) swept Washington and won a five-setter over Indiana to close out the home portion of their 2024 schedule.



The No. 6 wrestling team (3-0) earned bonus point victories in the first six matches and in eight overall and went on to defeat Hofstra, 38-6, on Sunday at the Covelli Center.
