COLUMBUS, Ohio — Kary Hollenbaugh, a native of New Albany, Ohio, signed with Ohio State and Lisa Strom, first year head coach of the Buckeyes, Wednesday.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Kary to the Buckeye Family,” Strom said. “Growing up in New Albany and being a Buckeye fan since birth makes it even better. Kary is a fierce competitor who is comfortable going low and knows how to win. Those are traits you can only gain through competitive experience. Her future is bright and we can’t wait to welcome her to campus in the Fall of 2022!”
Currently ranked No. 34 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings, she placed first in three of the last six AJGA events and in the Top 10 in five of the six. She is the top rated Ohio player in the class of 2022.
During the 2021 Fall Season, Hollenbaugh carded a 60, a New Albany High School program record, Aug. 16 at The Golf Club at Yankee Trace during the Centerville Lady Elk Invitational. She also had her first hole-in-one during the round that included 10 birdies and a pair of eagles.

A member of the National Honor Society, she also is a two-time first team all-state selection, four-time all-district and two-time district player of the year.
