My Man Schills

Share

Longtime men’s tennis assistant coach David Schilling accepted the head coach job this week at his alma mater, Denison University, in nearby Granville, Ohio. Schilling had been alongside Ty Tucker for all of Tucker’s 21 season as head coach. He spent the first three years as assistant coach and the last 18 as a volunteer assistant coach.

Very few assistant coaches stay in one spot for as long as Schilling has but that speaks to the bond and partnership that he and Tucker formed. Schilling truly left his mark on Ohio State tennis and he will be missed. Below is a letter to Schilling from Tucker and a list of some of Ohio State’s accomplishments under their leadership over the last 21 years.
