Muzerall a Finalist For 2022-23 National Coach of the Year Award

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State women’s hockey head coach Nadine Muzerall is a finalist for the 2022-23 CCM/AHCA Division I Women’s Ice Hockey Coach of the Year Award, the American Hockey Coaches Association announced Monday. Muzerall is one of eight finalists for the award.

In her seventh season at the helm of the Buckeyes, Muzerall has led the program to another successful season with the program boasting a 32-5-2 record headed into the Frozen Four. The Buckeyes’ won a program record 23 WCHA wins this season on their way to earning the first regular season conference title.

Ohio State is headed to its fourth Frozen Four in the 24-year history of the award, all of which have been achieved in Muzerall’s tenure. Under her guidance, Jenn Gardiner and Sophie Jaques were named Top-10 Finalists for the 2023 Patty Kazmaier Memorial Award with Jaques advancing as a Top-3 Finalist.

Muzerall was named the league’s Co-Coach of the Year, her fifth honor and second in as many years.
