COLUMBUS, Ohio – Musa Jallow, a 6-5, 200-pound shooting guard from Bloomington, Ind., signed a Big Ten tender to join Ohio State for the 2017-18 season, head coach Chris Holtmann announced Wednesday. Jallow is the third newcomer to the Buckeye roster for the 2017-18 season, joining Kaleb Wesson, a 6-9 forward from Westerville, Ohio, and Kyle Young, a 6-8 forward from Massillon, Ohio.
“Musa is a physical, athletic, versatile player and defender,” Holtmann said. “He possesses a high motor, intelligence and a college ready body despite his young age. We are excited about his arrival here in the fall and his continued development throughout his career here.”
Jallow averaged 24.1 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game last year at Bloomington North High School. He garnered Indiana All-Star honors and was named to the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association Underclass All-State Supreme team. For his three-year high school career, Jallow scored 1,027 points while shooting 52 percent from the field.
