COLUMBUS, Ohio Senior Felipe Travesso remained unbeaten this season in his specialty the 100 breaststroke in an Ohio State win last week over Cleveland State and, coupled with a second victory in the meet, earned the Big Ten Conference’s Swimmer of the Week award.

Travesso, a finance major from Belo Horizonte, Brazil and a graduate of Lawrence North (Ind.) High School, improved to 5-0 in the 100 breaststroke with his win in the Cleveland State meet. He also added a win in the 50 breaststroke to help the Buckeyes, ranked 11th nationally, to a 169-86 victory.

Travesso and the 5-0 Buckeyes host the annual Ohio State Swimming & Diving Invite Friday through Sunday, Dec. 5-7, at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion. Swimmers and divers from 15 different schools will be competing at this year’s event, which is run in the order that NCAA and conference championships are contested. Admission is free.
