Every fall, the Ohio State and North Carolina lacrosse programs gather to honor the life and legacy of Michael R. Breschi, the late son of Joe Breschi. And every year, it’s easy to see that his legacy lives on with everyone involved.
Last weekend, Michael’s impact was on full display as the Buckeyes and Tar Heels came together for fellowship and lacrosse. Above is a visual recap.
“Thumbs Up” wasn’t just something that Michael Breschi said to his father every night before he went to bed. It was a way of life. And his spirit was once again on full display Saturday night as the Buckeyes and Tar Heels took the field for a fall ball scrimmage.
ABOUT THE MICHAEL R. BRESCHI SCHOLARSHIP
One of the largest memorial endowed scholarships in the Ohio State Department of Athletics, the MRB Scholarship was created in memory of Michael Breschi, the son of former Ohio State lacrosse coach and current North Carolina coach Joe Breschi and his wife, Julie, who passed away tragically in March 2004 when he was just three years old. The Michael Robert Breschi Scholarship is given to an Ohio State senior lacrosse player every year who best exemplifies the spirit of Michael.
