The Ohio State men’s lacrosse team travels to Birmingham, Mich., this weekend for the Great Western Lacrosse League tournament, with the tourney champion receiving the conference’s automatic bid into the 16-team NCAA tournament. The tournament will be held in the Campus Stadium at Seaholm High School.
Ohio State, the No. 3 seed, will take on No. 2 seed Air Force in the semifinals at 7:30 p.m. Friday, preceded by a game between No. 1 seed Notre Dame, the regular season champion, and No. 4 seed Quinnipiac at 5 p.m. The winners will meet at noon Sunday.
Tickets are available onilne via TicketWeb and at the Bloomfield Sports Shop and Detroit Lax stores in Michigan. The weekend pass, which includes all three games, is $20. A sellout is expected. Individual game tickets will only be available at the door ($15) if there are tickets left.
The Buckeyes were the runner-up in the inaugural tournament last year, falling to Notre Dame in the championship game.
