COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Michela Paradiso and redshirt junior Morgan Wolcott have been named captains of the 2015 Ohio State women’s soccer team, head coach Lori Walker announced Friday. In addition, Walker also announced junior Lindsay Agnew will serve as assistant captain of the Buckeyes.

Paradiso has appeared in 61 career matches, making 55 starts. In her first three seasons, the Columbus, Ohio, native has scored three goals and added 15 assists, a total that ranks tied for 11th on the Ohio State career list. Paradiso is a three-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection.

Wolcott is entering her fourth season as a member of the Buckeye women’s soccer program, after playing the 2013 season and missing the 2012 and 2014 campaigns with injuries. In her redshirt freshman season, the Milford, Ohio, native played in 18 matches, starting all of them, tallying an assist and scoring her first career goal on a header at Penn State. Wolcott is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten pick and OSU Scholar-Athlete.

Agnew, from Dublin, Ohio, has played in 27 matches, making 24 starts over her first two seasons. She has found the back of the net four times in addition to tallying four assists. Agnew is a two-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and was named an Academic All-Big Ten selection in 2014.

After an exhibition against Wake Forest at 7 p.m. Saturday, Ohio State opens the regular season at home against Illinois State at 7 p.m. Aug. 21.
