The sophomore from Upper Arlington led the Buckeyes with second-consecutive Top 10 finish
COLUMBUS, Ohio Bo Hoag, a sophomore on the Ohio State men’s golf team, was named Big Ten Men’s Golfer of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday. It is the second time the Upper Arlington, Ohio, native has earned the award this season.
Hoag posted his second-consecutive Top 10 finish when he tied for third at the General Jim Hackler Championship, March 8-9 in South Carolina. He was consistent throughout the event with a score of 1-over 73 in all three rounds on the 6,950-yard TPC of Myrtle Beach. Hoag made par on 39 of 54 holes and never recorded worse than a bogey.
Through six stroke-play tournaments this season, Hoag leads Ohio State with a 72.47 stroke average and has four Top 10 placements, including two in the Top 5.
Hoag and the Buckeyes next tee off at the FAU Spring Break Championship, hosted by Florida Atlantic March 27-29 in Delray, Fla.
