COLUMBUS, OHIO – %^$Junior outside hitter Chris Fash (Lockport, Ill.) was selected the Midwest Intercollegiate Volleyball Association Player of the Week for his play in OSU’s 3-0 (15-7, 15-11, 15-7) win over No. 10 Lewis which gave the Buckeyes the MIVA Championship outright.%^$

%^$Fash had 23 kills in the match while hitting .563. He also had six digs and five assist blocks in the seventh-consecutive win for fifth-ranked Ohio State (21-3 overall, 13-1 MIVA). The 23-kill effort was the 20th double-figure kill match for Fash and his sixth hitting .500 or better.%^$

%^$Fash is hitting .516 in the last seven matches and has averaged 6.48 kills per game during that time.%^$

%^$Ohio State faces Clarke College (8-18, 0-14) in the quarterfinals of the MIVA Tournament at 7 p.m. Saturday night in St. John Arena.%^$
