COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State seniors Ross Wilson (Toledo, Ohio/Toledo St. Francis de Sales) and Scott Green (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover) moved up to No. 1 in the latest ITA ranking released April 18. The pair is 25-2 on the year and is 19-1 in dual matches this season, all of which came from the No. 1 doubles slot for the Buckeyes. Some notable victories this season include the pair’s wins over No. 4 Marco Born and Andreas Siljestrom of Middle Tennessee State, No. 7 Raian Luchici and Brad Pomeroy of North Carolina, No. 9 Mark Growcott and Ken Skupski of LSU and No. 17 Darrin Cohen and Rylan Rizza of Virginia.

Wilson is the Ohio State career leader in doubles wins with 111. Wilson collected his 100th Feb. 17 with a victory over Lance Koetter and Nick Callemari of Wright State, 8-4. Green is No. 2 all time in career doubles victories with 110.

The duo won their third national tournament title during fall competition at the ITA All-American Indoor National Championships Nov. 6. The pair won the same tournament last season. Green and Wilson became the first team to win the ITA championship in consecutive seasons in the 27-year history of the event. The win was Green and Wilson’s third national championship, becoming just the third doubles team in NCAA history to win three national titles.

Up next, the Buckeyes return home to face Northwestern Saturday and Wisconsin Sunday in the final regular season home matches of the year. Ohio State as a team is ranked No. 7 in the country and is 20-1 on the year.
