COLUMBUS, Ohio The 11th-ranked Ohio State men’s swimming team won all 14 races and sailed to a 168-71 win over defending Division III champion Kenyon College Saturday at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.

“It was a solid meet for us during this hard week of training,” Bill Wadley, head men’s swimming coach, said. “I think that the relays looked really good and the distance swimmers did very well for us today.”

“We had a lot of great swims. This is a good group of guys and they will continue to move forward and get better.”

Junior Joel Elber and freshman Andrew Elliott were double winners for the Buckeyes. Elber took first in the 50- and 100-yard freestyle events with times of 20.95 and 46.08, respectively. Elliott recorded his first collegiate victories in the 100 (50.71) and 200 backstroke (1:52.00) events.

Eight other swimmers captured individual wins for Ohio State. Senior Matthias Sigrist won the 200 freestyle and his brother, junior Stefan Sigrist, took first in the 1000 freestyle. Senior Felipe Travesso won the 100 breaststroke and sophomore Elliott Keefer captured first in the 200 breaststroke.

Sophomores Quincy Lee and Justin Farra picked up wins in the 200 butterfly and 400 individual medley, respectively. Junior Alex Chen swam a career-best time of 4:35.79 to take first in the 500 freestyle.

Ohio State returns to McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on November 7 when the Buckeyes take on the Bearcats from Cincinnati. The co-ed dual meet begins at 6 p.m.
