Men’s Swimming & Diving Takes on NCAA Championships This Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – The No. 10 men’s swimming and diving team heads to Minnesota to compete in the NCAA Championships March 22-25. Fans can stream the championships live on ESPN+.

Meet Notes

  • Ruslan Gaziev is a top-10 seed in two of the three events he qualified for. He is the five-seed in the 100 free, qualifying with an NCAA A cut time of 41.38. He is seeded ninth in the 200 free with an NCAA A standard time of 1:31.94. Gaziev will also compete in the 50 free; he qualified with a time of 19.09 and is the 18-seed.
  • Charlie Clark will swim the 1650 free and the 500 free. Clark is seeded ninth in the 1650 with a time of 14:41.75. He qualified for the 500 with a time of 4:15.35.
  • Alex Quach qualified for the 100 fly (45.08), 100 free (42.97) and 200 fly (1:45.30). He is seeded 15th in the 100 fly.
  • Chachi Gustafson is the 20th seed in the 200 fly with a qualifying time of 1:42.24. He also qualified for the 100 fly with a time of 46.54.
  • Mason Edmund qualified for three events; the 500 free (4:18.63), 400 IM (3:47.92) and 1650 free (14:53.54).
  • A quartet of divers qualified at NCAA Zones; Lyle Yost will compete on the 1-meter, 3-meter and the platform, Clayton Chaplin will take on the 3-meter and platform, Mo Noaman will compete on the 3-meter and platform and Jack Matthews qualified for the 1-meter and 3-meter.
  • Also heading to NCAAs are Mario McDonald, Karl Helmuth, Daniel Baltes and James Ward; they were all members of qualifying relay teams.
