COLUMBUS, Oh.- The Ohio State men’s swimming and diving team compete againist the Ohio University Bobcats Friday, Oct. 29 at 6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, the Buckeyes challenge the OSU men’s swimming and diving alumni at 9:30 a.m. Both meets will be held in the Mike Peppe Aquatic Center.

Scarlet vs. Gray Recap
Three records were set in the annual Scarlet vs. Gray intrasquad meet Thursday, Oct. 21. Junior Brian Malich (Mason, Oh.) set the record in the 50 freestyle and the 100-yard freestyle with times of 21.11 and 45.48 respectivley. Drew Fiden (So., Kettering, Oh.) had an impressive record-setting win in the 100 breaststroke. The Scarlet beat the Gray for bragging rights, 149-106.

The Buckeyes defeated the Bobcats 143-92 as they opened the 1998 season on the road. Junior Brian Malich and sophomore Travis Carver led the team in that meet with wins in the 50 fresstyle, 100-yard freestyle, the 200 freestyle and the 500 freestyle. All-American Mike McIntyre capturted the win for the Buckeyes in the one-meter dive.

The Alumni Invade the Pool
Saturday , Oct. 30 the OSU alumni visit their alma mater to challenge the 1999-00 varsity swimming and diving team.
