COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s soccer team traveled to Cleveland, Ohio tonight and dropped Cleveland State, 6-0, at Kenzler Field. OSU improved its record to 9-4-0 while the Vikings fell to 2-10-2. It was the Buckeyes’ fifth shutout of the season.

Ohio State scored all six of its goals in the second half of play. Brian Feldhaus (Sr., Cincinnati, Ohio) led the offensive attack for the Buckeyes, scoring two goals and adding an assist. Feldhaus put the Buckeyes on the board in the 63rd minute of play off a pass from teammate Josh Rathweg (Fr., Spring, Texas). He scored his second goal of the game and seventh of the season in the 75th minute with an assist from Jason Ciminieri (Sr., Katy, Texas). Feldhaus leads the team in goals with seven.

John Tomaino (Fr. Palatine, Ill.) also had a two-goal game. He notched his first goal at 70:49 and added his second at 74:09.

The Buckeyes return home to face Big Ten rival Penn State in their last home game of the season at the Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 17. Game time is scheduled for 2:30 p.m.
