%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio– The Ohio State men’s soccer team defeated West Virginia 2-0 in a preseason%^$exhibition match Tuesday at the Mountaineer Soccer Complex in Morgantown, W.Va.%^$

%^$Ohio State scored both goals in the first half of play. Justin Cook (So., Oviedo, Fla./%^$Oviedo) netted OSU’s first goal in the third minute off a pass from teammate Andy Krienbrink%^$(Jr., Sylvania, Ohio/Northview). Newcomer Daryl Brazeau (Jr., Hanover Park, Ill./%^$Schaumburg) added the second at 41:02 with an assist from Roger Roush (Sr., Grove City,%^$Ohio/Grove City). Goalkeeper Kerry Thompson (Jr., Dublin, Ohio/Dublin Coffman) recorded two%^$saves and the Buckeyes outshot the Mountaineers 13 to 11.%^$

%^$Ohio State will travel to Dayton, Ohio, to finish out the exhibition season, taking on%^$Wright State Sunday, Aug. 27 at 4 p.m. The Buckeyes will open the 2000 regular season against%^$University of Nevada-Las Vegas Friday, Sept. 1 at 10 p.m. EDT in Las Vegas, Nev.%^$
