COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio State men’s lacrosse coach Joe Breschi today announced the signing of five Ohio natives to NCAA National Letters of Intent. The quintet will enroll in Ohio State and play lacrosse beginning in the 2002-03 school year.

Included in the class are midfielders Josh Wittenberg (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson), Andrew Bender (Wooster, Ohio/Wooster) and Nick Williams (Worthington, Ohio/Thomas Worthington High School). Defensemen Jarred Olson and Bryan Yontz of Upper Arlington, Ohio, and Upper Arlington High School complete the group.

“We are extremely excited about this year’s collection of top scholar-athletes from the state of Ohio,” Breschi said. “We have worked hard to keep the best lacrosse players home and this group is, without question, top notch. We are fortunate that many of them have played together on Ohio all-star teams and are familiar with one another both on and off the field. We look forward to maintaining a strong recruiting presence in Ohio for years to come.”
