COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s lacrosse team is wrapping up its second week of practice as it prepares for the 2011 season. In all, the Buckeyes will welcome seven teams to Columbus, beginning Feb. 10 vs. Detroit.

Highlighting the home slate is the fourth annual Showdown in the Shoe, which this year features the Buckeyes taking on Fairfield in an ECAC Lacrosse League game April 23. For the second-consecutive year the game will be broadcast live nationally on Big Ten Network. Last year Ohio State again broke the NCAA men’s lacrosse regular-season attendance record, with 31,078 fans watching the squads.

Last week the Buckeyes took their team photos – including shots with JJ, who the Buckeyes adopted through the Friends of Jaclyn program, and his family. Click on the photo gallery above for pictures from the day.
