Men's Lacrosse Game Days Policies

Campus may be accessed from exits on SR-315 north and south and I-71 north and south. Please check www.ohgo.com along these routes for available exits as exit availability may be adjusted due to construction in the area.

Outside of Ohio Stadium, possession and consumption of alcohol are subject to the laws and regulations of the State of Ohio and/or City of Columbus which state, among others: No person shall have in the person’s possession an opened container of beer or intoxicating liquor in any public place.

Alcoholic beverages are NOT permitted to be brought into Ohio Stadium.

State of Ohio Alcohol Policy and The Ohio State University Alcohol Policies

Alcohol sales are offered inside Ohio Stadium. The following items are important to note in regards to alcohol sales:

  • Guests possessing alcohol who do not have proof of being at least 21 years of age or guests passing alcohol to minors will be ejected and are subject to arrest.
  • A maximum of two alcoholic beverages will be sold per person/at one time (depending on the event).
  • Guests who appear younger than thirty-five (35) will be asked to show positive identification prior to being served. Acceptable forms of identification are:
    • Any state’s driver’s license
    • A state of Ohio identification card, or the “equivalent” from another state
    • A US Department of Defense military ID card
    • A United States or foreign passport, that displays a picture of the individual for whom the license, card, or passport was issued and shows that the person buying was then at least twenty-one years of age
  • Guests are not permitted to bring alcoholic beverages into the facility; nor are they permitted to leave the facility with alcohol.
  • Alcohol sales will end at the end of halftime. If deemed necessary, alcohol sales may be cut off at any time. The facility reserves the right to refuse the sale of alcohol to any guest.

Ohio Stadium and Levy Restaurants work hard to promote responsible consumption of alcoholic beverages by following the TEAM (Techniques for Effective Alcohol Management) Program.

Please conduct yourself in an appropriate manner. Our attitudes and actions not only reflect upon our individual character but also the character of our university as a whole. As Buckeyes, it is essential to initiate and foster a friendly and welcoming environment for all to portray our university with the pride and respect it deserves. While you cheer on our team, please keep these ideals in mind and prove Ohio State has the Best Fans in the Land.

A first aid station is located near section 16A within Ohio Stadium. This station is staffed with American Red Cross volunteers who can assist with First Aid needs.

Ohio Stadium gates will open one hour prior to the start of every men’s lacrosse game.

Parking is free in the lots surrounding Ohio Stadium beginning 3 hours prior to the start of each men’s lacrosse event. Please refer to the Men’s  and Women’s Lacrosse Parking Map for Ohio Stadium here HERE.

 

Animals, except for trained dogs or service animals assisting guests with disabilities, are not permitted in Ohio Stadium.

As a general rule, any items that obstruct the view of other guests or that can be used as projectiles, that interfere with the comfort of other guests or are deemed inappropriate/hazardous by stadium security are prohibited.

Guests are subject to visual inspection of person, parcels, bags, and clothing capable of concealing prohibited items. Guests may refuse inspections but management reserves the right to refuse entry. Guests that are found with prohibited items are subject to Ohio Law and/or ejection from the stadium. Changes in national, regional and campus security levels may affect security procedures.

The following items are NOT permitted to be brought into Ohio Stadium:

  1. Alcohol
  2. Animals (except service dogs for guests with disabilities)
  3. Audio or Video Recording Equipment including those that are attached to unmanned aircraft systems or model aircrafts.
  4. Banners, Flags and Signs
  5. Bicycles
  6. Cameras with a lens greater than 100mm (along with Monopods, Dual Pods and Tripods), including those that are attached to unmanned aircraft systems or model aircrafts.
  7. Chairs including Folding Chairs, Portable Chairs, Stools, Lawn Chairs
  8. Clothing with profane, inappropriate or abusive language
  9. Containers (common examples include but are not limited to hard sided coolers, soft pack coolers, ice chests, picnic baskets, cans, heavy plastic or glass bottles, thermoses)
  10. Confetti, streamers, glitter, balloons
  11. Drones (including but not limited to unmanned aircraft systems or model aircrafts.
  12. Firearms. Weapons are not permitted in the arena/stadium. Possession of a firearm or weapon is strictly forbidden. Possession of a weapon will result in immediate confiscation, ejection and/or possible arrest. Off-duty law enforcement: click here for concealed-carry policy
  13. Fireworks
  14. Food or beverages
  15. Illegal Drugs
  16. Inflatables (balls, balloons, etc.)
  17. Laptops and computers
  18. Laser pointers
  19. Markers (permanent) and/or paint
  20. Noisemaking devices (common examples include but are not limited to whistles, air horns, bull horns, blow horns, musical instruments, kazoos, bugles, cow bells, thunder sticks, sirens, milk jugs with rocks or coins, and stereos)
  21. Seat cushions that have back supports, zippers, or storage slots
  22. Sticks, Poles, Pipes or Selfie sticks
  23. Signs
  24. Televisions or video monitors
  25. Weapons or items that mimic weapons including but not limited to: (aerosol cans, mace, pepper spray, lighters, matches, firearms, including CCW permit holders, fireworks, pocket knives, knives, spiked bracelets, brass knuckles, martial arts weapons, stun guns, squirt guns, super soakers and chains) or any item deemed dangerous or inappropriate.
  26. Wrapped gifts, packages or items

 

Guests will NOT be permitted to re-enter Ohio Stadium once they leave.

Men’s and Women’s restrooms will be available on the east side of the stadium near the available seating area.

All seating will be general admission on the east side of the stadium, between sections 18A and 22A.

Multiple stadium entrances will be available on men’s lacrosse game days:

  • Gate 5: Open beginning 90 minutes before each game for ticket sales, and 60 minutes before each game for entry. Public will call, visiting team pass list, and home team pass list tickets must also be picked up at Gate 5.
  • Gate 16: Open 60 minutes before each game for any guests with tickets already in hand. If you do not have a ticket in hand, please enter at Gate 5 to purchase or pick up will call tickets.
  • Huntington Club: Open 60 minutes before each game for men’s lacrosse suiteholders.

The use of all types of tobacco products (including and not limited to, cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars and cigarillos, hookah smoked products, pipes, oral tobacco and nasal tobacco) is prohibited in all university buildings and on all university-owned properties, including parking lots, garages, and all outside areas. This also includes any product intended to mimic tobacco products, contain tobacco flavoring, or deliver nicotine other than for the purpose of cessation.

Drive lanes in parking lots must be maintained at all times. Vehicle and tailgate must fit within the 8.5′ x 15′ space provided.Guests who are interested in setting up tents or inflatables and grilling at their tailgate should adhere to the OSU Emergency Management and Fire Prevention Policies. No charcoal grilling is permitted on the Ohio State University campus with the exception of designated locations. Liquid propane grills are permitted on campus as long as the following safety protocols listed here: OSU Emergency Management and Fire Prevention Policies. Open burning, including but not limited to fire pits, fire rings, stoves, or chimneys, are not allowed on campus, nor within the City of Columbus.
