%^$COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s hockey team dropped a 3-1 decision to fifth-ranked Western Michigan tonight at Value City Arena in Columbus, Ohio.%^$

%^$The Buckeyes, who have lost four-consecutive games, fall to 10-8-1overall on the season (7-5-1 in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association). The Broncos improve to 15-3-2 (8-2-2 CCHA).%^$

%^$Ohio State got on the board first, as Mike McCormick put in the rebound of a Doug Andress shot for his second goal of the year at the 10:18 mark of the first period. The goal extended McCormick’s scoring streak to five games.%^$

%^$The Broncos scored three unanswered goals for the win. WMU tied the game 8:18 into the second period as Jeff Campbell scored. WMU took the lead 9:10 into the final period as Steve Rymsha knocked a shot past OSU goaltender Mike Betz.%^$

%^$Western Michigan went up by two a minute and a half later on a shorthanded goal by Anthony Battaglia.%^$

%^$The teams return to Value City Arena for a 7:05 contest Saturday night.%^$
