COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two members of the men’s gymnastics team received diplomas from The Ohio State University in the Spring 2020 commencement.
Robert Costea (Charlotte, N.C.) is a NCAA Championship and Big Ten Championship participant as well as a four-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree. In his senior season, Costea tallied his two biggest scores of the year at the Southwest Cup. He posted an impressive 13.300 on pommel horse and a 13.400 on still rings, both just off the mark of his career bests.
Michael Chan (Louisville, Ky.) co-captained the 2019-20 squad and competed in three events his senior season including the still rings, in which he set a new career-best score of 13.600 against Michigan. He also posted a score of 13.450 on floor and a 13.700 on high bar. Chan competed in the NCAA Championships as a redshirt freshman and is graduating as a four-time OSU Scholar-Athlete and a three-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree.
