COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State track and field team competed in the final day of men’s competition at the 2023 NCAA East First Round on Friday in Jacksonville, Fla.
NCAA EAST PRELIM ROUND (QUARTERFINALS)
- 400m: Zidane Brown finished in 47.64.
- 800m: Alex Kenish ran a 1:52.14 to wrap up his season in the 800m.
- 4x400m relay: The Buckeye men’s relay squad finished in 3:09.79, just 0.6 seconds out of a qualifying spot.
NCAA EAST PRELIM ROUND (FIRST ROUND)
- Discus: Carlos Aviles earned his spot at the NCAA Championships with a best throw of 56.94m / 186’10” to finish eighth.
- High jump: Shaun Miller Jr. qualified for the NCAA Championships by clearing 2.14m / 7’0.25” on the first attempt. Reign Winston made his NCAA East First Round debut by clearing 2.04m / 6’8.25”.
- Triple jump: Clarence Foote-Talley finished eighth (15.90m / 52’2”) to earn a spot at the NCAA Championships.
