The Ohio State men’s fencing squad is the recipient of the 2020 Varsity O Most Improved Large Team GPA award, Varsity O announced Monday.
As a group, the men’s fencers earned 14 Academic All-Big Ten honors and 20 Ohio State Scholar-Athlete accolades in 2019-20. The squad claimed the Midwest Fencing Conference men’s championship, along with three individual MFC titles and had six NCAA qualifiers.
Members of the men’s team include Shanvanth Arnipalli, Bence Bende, Blake Bradford, Leon Cao, Diego Cervantes, Stephen Chou, Chris Collado, Matthew Comes, Kaiden Crotchett, John Culpepper, Maximus DeBack, Frank Ditullio, Ethan Edwards, James Flanagan, William Gaziano, Jacob Gordo, Matthew Hayes, Domenik Koch, Henry Lange, Benjamin Levitt, Alex Mason, Jadon Montgomery, Hudson Santana, Liam Smith, Roscoe Swartz and Nathan Wriedt.
