COLUMBUS, Ohio – Senior Othello Hunter came off the bench to score 18 points and grab 10 rebounds on the second day of the Portsmouth (Va.) Basketball Invitational Thursday. 

Playing a team called Sales System, Hunter helped the squad improved to 1-1 overall in the four-day tournament designed to give professional teams an opportunity to evaluate the nation’s top senior college basketball players. Sales System downed Holiday Inn Portsmouth 92-84 for the win.

Hunter played 19 minutes Thursday and connected on 6-of-9 shots from the field and all six free throw attempts. He also recorded three assists and three blocks. 

In the first game of the tournament Wednesday, Hunter was a starter. He scored 17 points and collected 13 rebounds in a 96-88 loss. 

Jamar Butler, another Ohio State senior on display, is back in action at 7 p.m. Friday after an opening round 99-81 victory for his team, the Tidewater Sealants. Butler scored nine points and handed out three assists in his event debut.
