COLUMBUS, Ohio-Ohio State, the No. 1 seed in the 2008 MasterCard NIT, will play host to the second round of the event March 24 at St. John Arena. The Buckeyes will play the winner of the first round matchup between New Mexico and California, a game scheduled for 11 p.m. Wednesday.

Game time for the second round game has not been determined.

NIT second round game tickets will go on sale at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office in Value City Arena. Tickets also are available online at or by calling 1-800-GO BUCKS. Fans are encouraged to order and pick up tickets ($20 for adults, $10 for students) at Value City Arena (corner of Lane Avenue and Olentangy River Road) Thursday or Friday from 8 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. or Monday between 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Will call will be available 90 minutes prior to game time Monday in French Fieldhouse, Ohio State’s indoor track facility just west of St. John Arena.

The will call entrance to French Fieldhouse is located in the southeast corner of the facility off Woody Hayes Drive. Day-of-game will call lines are expected to be long. Fans are encouraged to arrive early if they have not already picked up tickets.

The Buckeyes are 20-13 overall and will be playing at St. John Arena for the second time this season after an earlier meeting with VMI Nov. 25, 2007, a 90-57 Buckeye victory.
