COLUMBUS, Ohio – The Ohio State men’s cross country team finished ninth today at the 2020-21 Big Ten Conference championships. The 8K championship meet was held at the Blue River Cross Country Venue at Blue River Memorial Park in Shelbyville, Ind.
The men did not have a returning Top 5 runner start the race, so the three freshmen and two sophomores among the team’s starting eight took it upon themselves to make sure this isn’t the case next year as they were Ohio State’s first five finishers: Fr. Zubin Zha was 54th in 25:41.8; So. Ivan Slyepkan was 59th in 25:46.9; Fr. John Cuozzo was 62nd in 25:51.0; So. Zach Schultz was 63rd in 25:54.9; and Fr. Alex Dediu was 68th in 26:09.4.
Also competing today for the Buckeyes were juniors Nick Regas, Jacob Wickert and Mikey Zedan.
Wisconsin won the men’s title and was followed by Indiana, Purdue, Michigan State and Nebraska.
