Las Vegas – Sean Melton (165.600) and Alec Yoder (164.800) scored great two-day totals in the all-around at the 2018 Winter Cup (Feb. 15 & 17) to retain their spots on the U.S men’s senior national gymnastics team until the 2018 P&G Championships take place in August. The readouts of 165.600 and 164.800 were the fifth and sixth best scores of the meet.

Melton’s two-day score of 28.700 on the rings was the top readout of the event out of 46 competitors. Yoder claimed himself an event title as well on the pommel horse with a two-routine score of 29.950 to claim gold. Melton also claimed top-10 finishes on the floor (28.050/fifth place), high bar (27.200/sixth place) and parallel bars (27.750/tied sixth). Yoder nearly nabbed his second event title of the meet with a final score of 28.050 on the parallel bars, which earned him a tie for second place.
