Sam McCormick, who finished his career with the Ohio State men’s hockey team this past spring, is now an Ohio State graduate. The De Pere, Wis., native earned his bachelor’s degree in real estate in Summer 2020.
Through his four years at Ohio State, McCormick played in 101 games, with 18 points, on five goals and 13 assists, along with two shootout winners.
He was a member of the senior class that earned three straight NCAA berths (including a Frozen Four trip in 2018) and was poised for a fourth in 2020 before season was canceled. The class would have been the first group of seniors in program history with four NCAA appearances. McCormick was part of the 2019 Big Ten regular season championship squad, as well as two second-place finishes.
Following the Buckeyes’ season, McCormick signed with a team in France to begin his professional career.
