COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State men’s basketball head coach Thad Matta participated in the weekly Big Ten teleconference Monday as his team prepares to face Iowa Tuesday and wrap up the regular season Sunday vs. Northwestern. The Buckeyes are 18-9 overall and 8-8 in the Big Ten after splitting games last week against Penn State and Purdue.

Opening Statement:
“Well we had a week last week where we split 1-1. I thought we played some good basketball Tuesday night against Penn State and did not play real well Saturday against Purdue. We did in stretches, but just never got into a flow. Just never got the momentum going our way in the stretches that we needed. As we head into this week, with two games remaining, we’ve got two tough basketball games. One [against a team] that we’ve beaten by three and another that beat us on a last-second shot. It’s time to buck up and get ourselves ready to play basketball.”
