COLUMBUS, Ohio – The NCAA Division I Women’s Track and Field Committee unveiled the participants for the 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships, a group that includes four members of the 18th-ranked Ohio State women’s track and field team.
Highlighting the the Buckeye qualifiers are junior Christina Manning and senior Letecia Wright. Manning, a 2010 Indoor All-American and the top ranked athlete in the 60m hurdles, will be making her second-trip to the NCAA finals, while Wright, No. 2 in the hurdles, will be competing at the championships for the third time.
Joining Manning and Wright in College Station will be juniors Maggie Mullen and Madison McNary. Mullen, a 2010 outdoor All-American in the javelin, will compete in the weight throw in her second trip to the national championships, while McNary, the 2011 Big Ten indoor champion in the 60m dash, will represent the Buckeyes in the same event.
Hosted by Texas A&M University, the NCAA championships will be held this Friday and Saturday, March 11-12. ESPN2 will show a tape delay of the event on March 16 at 2:30 p.m. ET. ESPN3 will web stream the event on Friday, March 11 from 4-8:40 p.m. and Saturday, March 12 from 4-7:50 p.m. The remainder of the event will be streamed live on NCAA.com.
