Luke Stork, a senior and alternate captain on the 2018 Ohio State men’s hockey Frozen Four team, has signed a contract with the South Carolina Stingrays of the ECHL. He will begin his professional career with the team this fall.
Stork, from Pittsburgh, played in 143 games in the Scarlet and Gray, the most for a Buckeye since seniors on the 2011 squad, and notched 17 goals and 29 assists for 46 points during his career. He saw action in all 41 games in 2017-18 and was part of the nation’s best penalty kill.
Stork, who is expected to earn his degree in sport industry this summer, was a 2018 Ohio State Scholar-Athlete and Academic All-Big Ten selection. He was part of the Bucks Go Pro internship program this summer, working in Ohio State’s compliance office.
