COLUMBUS, Ohio – In the qualifying round at the Omni Hotels/ITA Midwest Regional Championships in East Lansing Mich., Jackie Leskovar (Jr./Cambridge, Ontario) defeated three opponents to enter the main draw, which will begin Saturday. She will join No. 89 Sadhaf Pervez (Sr./Warren, N.J.), seeded No. 6, No. 69 Erica Fisk (Jr./Indianapolis, Ind.), seeded No. 9-16, and Lindsey Williams (Jr./Beverly Hills, Mich.). The singles main draw will conclude on Oct. 29.
Lindsey Adams (So./Mercer Island, Wash.), Taryn Bowen (Jr./Columbus, Ohio) and Emily DeCamilla (So./Sacramento, Calif.) fell in the first round of the qualifying draw. In the single consolation match, all three recorded wins.
In the main draw, No. 6 seed Pervez will face Branca Savic of Northwestern, No. 9-16 seed Fisk will play Lauren Connely of Notre Dame, Williams will encounter Lauren Clary of Xavier and Leskovar will compete against No. 8 seed Valerie Vlada of Minnesota.
This fall, Pervez is 8-4 in singles play and 2-1 in doubles. Fisk has posted an 8-3 singles record and a 5-2 doubles mark. The Buckeyes have combined for a singles record of 60-44.
