Blake Leeson is set to compete in the 2019 World University Games as a part of the U.S. Men’s Collegiate National Team. Matches start on Friday, July 5 in Naples, Italy.
Twenty teams are split into four pools of five teams each. The top two squads in each pool will move onto the championship playoff bracket, and the rest will compete in placement brackets. Taipei 2017 medalists Iran, Russia and Japan are all in Naples to defend their spots on the podium.
Team USA is in Pool B, starting with a match against South Korea on July 5 at 5:30 p.m local/ 11:30 am Eastern. The complete schedule is as follows:

Leeson finished his career at Ohio State ranking top-10 in school history with a .453 hitting percentage (5th), 62 solo blocks (7th), 395 total blocks (7th) and 78 aces (12th). He is one of 12 players on the World University Games roster.
